Alex Manu, the Ashanti Regional Circles Chairman and supporters’ leader of Asante Kotoko, has called on the club to consider appointing either a foreign coach or Maxwell Konadu as an interim solution following the resignation of head coach Karim Zito.
Speaking on the future direction of the club’s technical team, Alex Manu said Kotoko needs an experienced hand to steady the side after Zito’s departure.
“Asante Kotoko must go for a foreign coach or Maxwell Konadu for now.”- Ashanti Regional Circles Chairman of Asante Kotoko, Alex Manu.
He explained that bringing in a foreign coach could offer fresh ideas and structure, while Maxwell Konadu remains a reliable local option who understands the club’s culture and demands.
Coach Karim Zito recently stepped down from his role as head coach, leaving the club in search of new leadership ahead of upcoming competitions.
The call by the supporters’ chairman adds to growing public debate over the best direction for the Porcupine Warriors as management considers its next move.
