CAF President Patrice Motsepe has strongly condemned the chaotic scenes that overshadowed the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations final between Senegal and Morocco.
Motsepe described the events as “unacceptable” and “embarrassing” for African football, expressing deep disappointment at the disorder that unfolded during one of the continent’s most prestigious tournaments.
He stressed that such incidents do not reflect the true spirit of African football and called for measures to ensure that future matches uphold the dignity and safety of the game.
The CAF President’s comments highlight the need for improved organization and security at major football events across Africa, emphasizing that the focus should always remain on fair play and sportsmanship.
