Danlad Ibrahim has expressed strong support for Benjamin Asare as Ghana intensifies preparations for the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
The former Black Stars goalkeeper extended his best wishes to the Hearts of Oak shot-stopper, praying for strength, protection and outstanding performances at the global tournament. He noted that rather than offering advice, he prefers to encourage Asare, whom he regards as a senior figure.
Danlad explained that he deeply admires Asare’s discipline and professionalism both on and off the pitch, and believes the goalkeeper has what it takes to excel on the world stage. He added that he is hopeful Asare will avoid injuries and deliver performances that will make the nation proud.
Benjamin Asare has been in impressive form this season for Hearts of Oak, recording several clean sheets and cementing his reputation as one of the most consistent goalkeepers in the Ghana Premier League. His commanding presence and reliability have positioned him as a strong contender for Ghana’s first-choice goalkeeper role at the tournament.
The Black Stars have been drawn in Group L alongside Panama, England and Croatia. Ghana will begin their campaign against Panama on June 17, before facing England on June 23 and wrapping up the group stage against Croatia on June 27.
With the team set to base their preparations at Bryant University in the United States, hopes remain high that the Black Stars can make a significant impact at the 2026 World Cup.
