Samuel Inkoom has commended the level of preparation being undertaken by Ghana ahead of an upcoming international tournament, expressing confidence in the work being done by the football authorities and the national team’s technical handlers.
The former defender of the Ghana national football team stated that the pre-tournament arrangements by the Ghana Football Association and the Ministry of Youth and Sports (Ghana) have been impressive so far.
Speaking about the build-up to the competition, Inkoom noted that the introduction of new members to the technical team is a positive step that could strengthen the team’s chances. He indicated that proper preparation is one of the most important elements in football, especially when a team is heading into a global tournament.
The former international defender explained that monitoring opponents and studying their strengths and weaknesses plays a crucial role in determining how well a team performs during such competitions.
According to him, teams that fail to adequately analyze their opponents before entering major tournaments often struggle because they are unprepared for the different styles of play they encounter.
Inkoom therefore expressed satisfaction with the current preparations being undertaken by Ghana, noting that careful planning and proper scouting of opponents would help the Black Stars approach the tournament with greater confidence.
He added that going into a competition like the FIFA World Cup without detailed preparation can make the tournament extremely challenging for any team.
The former defender emphasized that when players and coaches fully understand their opponents before matches, it increases their chances of performing well and also allows them to enjoy the tournament experience rather than facing constant difficulties on the pitch.
