Ransford Yeboah Königsdörffer has been declared fit to feature for Hamburger SV in their upcoming Bundesliga match against 1. FC Köln despite missing training earlier in the week.

Hamburg head coach Merlin Polzin confirmed that the Ghanaian forward remains available for selection and there is no concern about his participation in the weekend encounter.

According to the coach, Königsdörffer’s absence from Tuesday’s training session was only a precautionary measure. He explained that the attacker had been training indoors while also receiving treatment as part of the club’s careful approach to managing his fitness.

The coach further indicated that the player was not sidelined due to any serious injury. Instead, the club’s medical and technical staff decided to slightly reduce his workload to ensure he remains fully fit for the upcoming match. Plans were already in place for the forward to gradually increase his training intensity before rejoining the rest of the squad without any restrictions.

Polzin also light-heartedly remarked that the Ghanaian striker occasionally experiences minor physical discomforts, which he described as small aches that can come with the demands of professional football. However, he stressed that the current situation is not serious and should not affect the player’s availability for the match against Köln.

Königsdörffer has been an important member of the Hamburg squad this season, regularly featuring in the team’s attacking lineup. His pace, movement, and ability to score crucial goals have made him a key figure in the club’s campaign as they continue to push for strong results in the German league.

The Ghana international’s presence is therefore expected to provide a major boost to Hamburg’s attacking options as they prepare for the crucial encounter. Supporters will be hoping the forward can continue his impressive form and contribute positively to the team’s performance.

Hamburg fans are therefore likely to see Königsdörffer back in action when the club faces Köln on Saturday, as the team looks to maintain momentum and strengthen its position in the league standings.
