Ghanaian attacker Brandon Thomas-Asante continued his impressive EFL Championship campaign, scoring in Coventry City FC’s 3-0 home victory over Preston North End FC at the Coventry Building Society Arena.
Thomas-Asante, deployed in the No.10 role, doubled Coventry’s lead in the 34th minute after Tatsuhiro Sakamoto had opened the scoring in the 17th minute. Matt Grimes wrapped up the win with a penalty shortly after the restart, ensuring a comfortable victory for Frank Lampard’s side.
The Ghanaian forward now has 11 goals and 4 assists in 24 league appearances this season, highlighting his status as one of the Championship’s in-form attackers.
Coventry’s victory keeps them firmly in the promotion mix ahead of their next fixture against Southampton FC on Saturday, March 14, again at home.
