Ghana international Forson Amankwah came off the bench to score the decisive goal for Norwich City FC, helping his side come from behind to defeat Sheffield United FC 2-1 in their EFL Championship Round 37 clash on Wednesday.
Amankwah was introduced in the 81st minute for Ali Ahmed and wasted no time making an impact. Just three minutes later, he latched onto a clever pass from Paris Maghoma and fired a fine strike past the goalkeeper to secure all three points for Norwich.
Earlier, Jairo Riedewald had opened the scoring for Sheffield United in the 21st minute, assisted by Callum O’Hare, before Jack Stacey levelled for Norwich in the 68th minute, set up by Jacob Wright.
The win lifts Norwich City FC to 15th in the Championship standings, while Amankwah will hope his performance keeps him in contention for a place in the Ghana national football team squad for the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
