Division One side Attram De Visser will take on Premier League leaders Medeama SC in a thrilling quarter-final clash of the MTN FA Cup at the Cape Coast Stadium.

The encounter sets up a fascinating battle between an ambitious lower-tier side enjoying a remarkable cup run and one of Ghana’s top-flight heavyweights chasing further silverware.

Attram De Visser have continued to build a reputation as one of the most dangerous teams in the competition. The Division One outfit reached the semi-finals last season before eventually falling 3–1 to Golden Kick SC at the Tarkwa and Aboso Stadium. Determined to go one step further this year, the team has once again shown resilience and quality in their FA Cup campaign.

Their route to the quarter-finals included a remarkable performance against Premier League side Eleven Wonders FC, whom they defeated 4–0 in dominant fashion. Impressively, Attram De Visser produced that performance despite playing the entire second half with ten men, highlighting their determination and attacking strength.

The team heads into the tie in excellent form, remaining unbeaten in their last five matches across all competitions (W3, D2), a run that will undoubtedly boost their confidence as they prepare to face the league leaders.

Meanwhile, Medeama SC are equally motivated as they aim to extend their proud history in the FA Cup. The Mauve and Yellow are two-time champions of the competition, famously defeating Asante Kotoko SC 1–0 in the 2013 final before overcoming the Porcupine Warriors again 2–1 in the 2015 final at the Essipong Sports Stadium.

Medeama booked their place in the last eight after eliminating FC Samartex 1996 in a tense penalty shootout victory in the Round of 16, demonstrating their composure under pressure in knockout football.

Sunday’s contest will mark the first-ever meeting between Medeama SC and Attram De Visser, adding extra intrigue to what promises to be a captivating FA Cup battle between Premier League pedigree and Division One ambition.
