Ghanaian centre-back David Acquah has seen his contract automatically extended by one year, keeping him at FC Aarau until June 30, 2027.
The 24-year-old joined Aarau from Israel just over two years ago and has steadily grown into a key figure in the team’s defensive setup. After breaking into the starting lineup at the beginning of the 2024/25 season, Acquah has cemented his place as a reliable presence at the back.
Known for his physicality and fearless approach, the Ghanaian defender has become a cornerstone of Aarau’s backline. His consistency and durability have been evident, having made 68 appearances for the club and missing only one competitive match this season due to a yellow card suspension.
The extension reflects the club’s confidence in his performances and long-term importance to the squad, as he continues to play a central role in their defensive structure.
