Promising 18-year old Ghanaian striker ‘Ofosu Boakye’ has signed a new contract with Dutch Eredivisie side Go Ahead Eagles.
The 18-year-old striker, around whom a real hype has developed, signed a three-year extension and is therefore under contract until the summer of 2029.
Boakye signed his first contract in April 2025 and made his debut in the Go Ahead Eagles first team a month later. He also featured in the Europa League match against SC Braga and played minutes for the Under-21s.
“It is great to remain part of this team for the coming years,” Boakye says about the extension. He continues: “Last year I signed my first contract with the goal of showing my potential. Fortunately, I have been able to show that to the club.”
Technical manager Marc van Hintum is satisfied with the development of the young striker.
“In Ofosu, we see an interesting striker for the future. This season, he has already been training regularly with the squad, and the intention is to make Ofosu a full part of the first team. We are convinced that he can eventually demonstrate this at Go Ahead Eagles 1 as well.”
