Ghana’s Black Maidens claimed a crucial 2-0 away win over Togo in their FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup qualifier on Sunday.
The Ghana U-17 women’s side produced a composed and disciplined performance, taking early control of the game and dictating play for long periods.
Forward Priscilla Mensah starred for the visitors, scoring both goals in the 16th and 64th minutes to secure a deserved victory.
Although Togo showed flashes of pressure, Ghana remained solid defensively and maintained their shape to preserve a clean sheet while managing the game effectively.
The result gives the Black Maidens a strong advantage heading into the return leg, with confidence growing in their qualification campaign.
