Medeama SC midfielder Salim Adams has reflected on his side’s emphatic 4-0 victory over Asante Kotoko, revealing that the team entered the Ghana Premier League clash full of belief and confidence.
The Yellow and Mauves delivered a commanding performance at the TnA Stadium in their Week 29 fixture, with Adams playing a starring role by scoring a brace to help secure a statement win over the Porcupine Warriors.
Speaking after the match, where he was named Man of the Match, Adams disclosed that Medeama were convinced even before kickoff that they had the quality to put Kotoko under serious pressure and score heavily.
According to him, the team had the mindset of scoring as many as four goals in the first half alone, underlining their confidence going into the fixture.
With just five games remaining in the season, Adams says Medeama will treat every remaining match as a final as they continue their push for the Ghana Premier League title.
“If you look at where we are in the league, we cannot let our guard down. Now everything is in our hands, so we go into every game confident to pick all three points.
“We will go for the three points in the rest of the games, and all five matches will be like finals for us,” he said.
Medeama SC will next turn their attention to a crucial league clash against Berekum Chelsea in the next round of fixtures.
