Kumasi Asante Kotoko SC has confirmed that Interim Head Coach Prince Yaw Owusu has stepped down from his role with immediate effect.
In his resignation letter, he stated that his decision was taken in the best interest of the club. He did not go into further details but made it clear that he believes the move will help the team going forward.
The club’s management expressed their appreciation to Coach Owusu for his service, dedication, and commitment during his time with the Porcupine Warriors. They also wished him well in his future coaching career.
In the meantime, Youth Team Coach Hamza Obeng has been appointed to take charge of the team for the remaining matches of the season. He will oversee preparations and lead the squad as Kotoko continue their campaign.
The club added that further updates on long-term coaching arrangements will be communicated in due course.
