The Black Starlets, continued their preparations for the 2026 U17 Africa Cup of Nations with an impressive 4–2 victory over Division One League side True Life FC in a friendly encounter on Friday morning at the Accra Sports Stadium.

The Starlets made a strong start to the game, racing into a commanding lead in the first half. Skipper Joseph Narbi opened the scoring to set the tone before Mark Aboagye took center stage with a quick-fire finish, giving the national side a comfortable 2–0 advantage. Gavi Robinho increased the tally to 3-0 with an amazing finish at the break.

After recess, the Black Starlets maintained their dominance, with Mark Aboagye adding his second, the fourth goal for the Starlets to extend the lead to 4–0. The team’s attacking fluidity and cohesion were evident as they controlled large spells of the match.

True Life FC responded late in the game with two consolation goals, but it was not enough to overturn the deficit as the Starlets held on to secure a deserved 4–2 win.

The match forms part of a series of preparatory games for the Black Starlets ahead of the 2026 U17 AFCON tournament to be staged in Morocco. The team continues to show encouraging signs as they fine-tune their squad and build momentum for the continental competition.
