Black Stars goalkeepers’ trainer Daniel Gaspar visited Hearts of Oak’s training ground and praised the club’s organisation, discipline and intensity during a live session observed on Tuesday.
The visit was part of his engagement and player monitoring duties ahead of the World Cup.
He was seen talking to Black Stars goalkeeper Benjamin Asare, as the two will be working closely ahead of the tournament.
Gaspar said the environment reflected strong teaching standards and urged recognition for the head coach’s influence on player discipline and structure.
He also focused on goalkeeping performance, praising coach Issah Najahu and his work with the shot-stoppers during the session.
“My speciality is goalkeeping, and I want to congratulate Coach Azaya for his session, the progression, the willingness, the capacity, and the capabilities of the goalkeepers. I love the attitude,” he noted.
Gaspar also stressed mentality as key to performance, adding, “Good attitude, good things happen. Bad attitude, not so good things. I’m very impressed with his work.”
Hearts of Oak are preparing for their next league fixture against Karela United on Wednesday.
