In a league often dominated by youthful energy and emerging stars, experience is proving just as decisive—and Augustine Okrah is the clearest example of that reality.

The seasoned forward, a former top scorer in the Ghana Premier League, has surged to the summit of the goal charts once again, reminding everyone of his enduring quality and instinct in front of goal. With the 2025/26 campaign entering its final stretch, Okrah is not just competing—he is setting the pace.

Leading the line for Bechem United, the veteran attacker delivered a statement performance, netting a clinical brace in his side’s commanding 3-1 victory over Techiman Eleven Wonders. It was a display that combined composure, intelligence, and the kind of finishing that only comes with years at the top level.

That double strike has now taken Okrah to 13 goals for the season, placing him firmly at the top of the Golden Boot standings. But beyond the numbers, it is the timing and consistency of his performances that stand out. As the pressure intensifies in the closing weeks, Okrah is delivering when it matters most.Behind him, the chasing pack is not far off.

Samuel Attah Kumi of Bibiani Gold Stars and Richmond Opoku from Young Apostles FC are both locked on 12 goals, keeping the race tightly contested. Their presence ensures that any slip from the Bechem United talisman could quickly reshape the standings.

Further down the leaderboard, Salim Adams of Medeama SC remains a strong contender with 11 goals, while Suraj Seidu of Dreams FC completes the top five with 10 goals. The margins are slim, and the competition is fierce.Yet, what separates Okrah is not just his tally—it is his pedigree.

Having previously finished as the league’s top scorer, he understands the demands of such a race: the discipline, the resilience, and the mental sharpness required to stay ahead when every goal counts. With only four matches remaining, the Golden Boot contest is delicately poised.

Okrah holds the advantage, but the pressure is relentless. Every touch, every chance, and every decision in the final third could define the outcome. For now, though, the spotlight belongs to a veteran who continues to defy time—proving that class, indeed, is permanent.
