Board member of Ghana Premier League giants Accra Hearts of Oak, Opare Addo, says reports suggesting that players of the club have boycotted training are false.
He stated that” it came as a surprise to management and insisted that no player has skipped training sessions, adding that preparations for their upcoming fixture against Medeama SC are continuing as planned.”
Mr. Addo explained that it is normal practice in football for signing-on fees to be paid in instalments rather than in full at once, and therefore disputes over payments should not be misinterpreted as a strike or boycott situation, he told Akoma FM.
He expressed confidence that training will continue smoothly in the coming days as the team focuses on their next league encounter.
