Ghanaian midfielder Amin Ziblim has completed a move to Romanian top-flight club CFR Cluj, sealing a summer transfer after an encouraging spell in the country’s second tier.
The 20-year-old joins Cluj on a free transfer following the expiration of his stint with Campulung, where he spent last season on loan and impressed with consistent performances in midfield.
Ziblim originally moved to Europe in 2024 from Ghanaian academy side MSK Žilina Africa, joining Slovak outfit MSK Žilina B, but found first-team opportunities limited during his time in Slovakia.
Seeking regular playing time, the young midfielder made the switch to Romania’s second division with Campulung, where he went on to make 20 appearances and establish himself as a reliable presence in midfield.
His performances caught the attention of CFR Cluj, who invited him for a trial at the end of last season. After training with the squad and featuring in a pre-season friendly against Neftchi Baku, the club moved quickly to secure his signature.
Announcing the signing, CFR Cluj wrote on their official social media platforms:
“We are happy to announce that, starting today, Amin Ziblim is our new player! Aged 20, Amin plays as a central midfielder.”
“Last season, he played for Muscelul Câmpulung in the 2nd League, where he made 20 appearances. Formed at MSK Žilina Africa, a satellite club of the Slovak team MSK Žilina, Amin later made the step to Europe, playing for the team in Slovakia. Having been in trials since the team’s reunion, Amin trained with our team and played in yesterday’s friendly match against Neftchi Baku. We wish him a welcome and many achievements with CFR Cluj!”
Ziblim will now look to continue his development in Romania’s top division as he aims to establish himself at CFR Cluj and take the next step in his European career.
