Aduana FC have begun negotiations with influential midfielder Seidu Saana over a new contract as they seek to fend off growing interest from rival Ghana Premier League clubs ahead of the 2026/27 season.
The Dormaa-based club is keen to secure the long-term future of the 22-year-old, who has established himself as one of the team’s standout performers since arriving in July 2024.
According to sports journalist Shaban Mohammed, Aduana’s decision to accelerate contract discussions comes amid strong interest from several top-flight clubs eager to lure the talented midfielder away from Nana Agyeman Badu I Park.
Ghanaian giants Asante Kotoko are understood to have identified Saana as one of their priority midfield targets as they continue strengthening their squad for the new campaign.
Newly promoted AshantiGold have also entered the race, with the Obuasi-based club reportedly eager to make the highly-rated midfielder one of their marquee signings ahead of their return to the Ghana Premier League.
Currently valued at €75,000, Saana now faces an important decision over his future, with the option of extending his stay at Aduana FC or embracing a new challenge elsewhere.
The midfielder enhanced his reputation last season with a string of impressive displays, including captaining Aduana to a crucial 2-0 away victory over Swedru All Blacks, highlighting both his leadership qualities and influence in the heart of midfield.
Negotiations between the player, his representatives and Aduana FC are expected to continue in the coming days, while interested clubs remain on standby should talks fail to produce an agreement.
With competition for his signature intensifying, Saana is shaping up to be one of the most sought-after midfielders in the domestic transfer window.
