Gold Fields Ghana Limited has been announced as the new headline sponsor of the Ghana Women’s Premier League, marking a major boost for women’s football in the country.
The partnership reflects a strong commitment to the growth of the women’s game and is expected to improve the league’s competitiveness, increase its visibility, and support its long-term development through strategic investment.
Gold Fields takes over from Malta Guinness, whose sponsorship came to an end after contributing to the progress of the competition over the years.
The Ghana Football Association (GFA) welcomed Gold Fields Ghana Limited into the football fraternity and expressed appreciation for the company’s decision to invest in the future of women’s football in Ghana.
According to the GFA, more information on the sponsorship agreement, the unveiling of the league’s new identity, and the implementation of the partnership will be announced in the coming weeks.
