Ghanaian winger Frank Acheampong produced another match-winning performance as Dalian Yingbo secured an impressive 3-1 victory over Shandong Taishan in the Chinese Super League.
The experienced attacker played a central role in the win, opening the scoring before providing a crucial assist to help his side claim all three points.
Acheampong broke the deadlock in the 16th minute after making a perfectly timed run behind the Shandong defence. The former Black Stars winger showed composure inside the box, calmly finishing with his left foot into the bottom corner after receiving a clever pass from Cephas Malele.
Malele later doubled Dalian’s advantage with a composed finish from inside the penalty area, giving the home side a comfortable lead heading into the second phase of the match.
Shandong Taishan attempted to fight back and reduced the deficit through Valeri Qazaishvili, who produced a precise finish from the left side of the box to give the visitors hope.
However, Acheampong once again made the difference early in the second half. The Ghanaian launched a rapid counter-attack before picking out Nicolae Stanciu, who fired a powerful strike into the top-right corner to restore Dalian’s two-goal advantage.
The victory highlighted Acheampong’s continued influence in China, with the winger enjoying one of his most productive campaigns in recent years.
The 32-year-old has featured in 18 Chinese Super League matches during the 2026 season, contributing six goals and four assists as he remains one of Dalian Yingbo’s most important attacking outlets.
Known for his explosive pace, direct running and ability to create chances, Acheampong continues to prove his value at club level while maintaining his reputation as one of Ghana’s most experienced players abroad.
Dalian Yingbo will now shift focus to their upcoming cup fixture against Henan FC on July 21, with Acheampong expected to once again play a key role in their attacking setup.
