Ghana Premier League side FC Samartex 1996 have confirmed the departure of four players following the expiration of their contracts as the club continues preparations for the 2026/27 season.
The players leaving the Samreboi-based club are Emmanuel Mamah, Samuel Tetteh, Kofi Agbesima, and Francis Gyetua, all of whom have officially ended their stay after their respective contracts expired.
In a statement, the Timber Giants expressed appreciation for the quartet’s contributions during their time at the club and wished them success in the next stage of their careers.
“We wish to thank them for their services to the Samartex family and wish them well.”
The departures form part of a wider restructuring exercise at the club ahead of the new Ghana Premier League campaign.
FC Samartex recently strengthened their technical team by appointing Nana Kweku Agyemang as the club’s new head coach. The club has also named Sey Kweku Richard as assistant coach of the senior team, while he will simultaneously serve as head coach of the club’s Team B.
With changes underway in both the playing squad and technical department, Samartex are expected to make further adjustments as they build a competitive team for the upcoming Premier League season.
