Ghanaian youngster Prince Appia Amoah delivered a scintillating performance on Monday evening, scoring a first-half hat-trick to inspire FK Metta to a resounding 9-0 victory over FK Tukums in the Latvian Pirma Liga.
The 19-year-old winger was the star of the show as FK Metta produced a dominant display to climb to the top of the league table. Amoah opened the scoring in the seventh minute after finishing a well-worked move before doubling his tally in the 25th minute.
The talented attacker completed his hat-trick before halftime, helping his side establish a commanding 6-0 lead at the break. His pace, movement and technical ability proved too much for the opposition defence throughout the opening 45 minutes.
FK Metta continued their dominance in the second half by adding three more goals to complete the emphatic victory.
The hat-trick is Amoah’s first of the 2026 Latvian league season and marks another significant achievement in what has been an impressive campaign for the Ghanaian youngster.
The former MSK Zilina Africa player has now registered six goals and two assists in 12 league appearances this season, further cementing his growing reputation as one of Ghana’s promising young talents making waves in European football.
The comprehensive win sees FK Metta strengthen their title ambitions as they sit atop the league standings, with Amoah playing a pivotal role in the club’s impressive run of form.
