Belgian top-flight side OH Leuven have announced the signing of Ghanaian winger Emmanuel Addai, who has penned a contract that will keep him at the club until 2028.
The 24-year-old joins Leuven after ending a successful spell with Azerbaijani champions Qarabag FK, where he established himself as one of the club’s key attacking players over the past two seasons.
Addai arrives in Belgium on the back of an outstanding 2025/26 campaign, during which he gained valuable UEFA Champions League experience. He featured against European heavyweights including Chelsea, Liverpool, and Newcastle United, showcasing his quality on one of football’s biggest stages.
The Ghanaian winger also made his mark in the competition by scoring in Qarabag’s 2-0 victory over Dinamo Zagreb, underlining his ability to deliver in crucial matches.
Across all competitions last season, Addai produced an impressive return of seven goals and four assists in 47 appearances, performances that reportedly attracted interest from several European clubs before OH Leuven secured his signature.
A graduate of the renowned JMG Academy, Addai has steadily progressed through professional spells in France, Spain, and Azerbaijan, with his latest move to Belgium representing another significant milestone in his career.
The transfer offers the talented winger a fresh challenge in the Belgian Pro League, where he will aim to continue his development and make a lasting impact with OH Leuven over the next three seasons.
