Franco-Ghanaian winger Stredair Appuah has completed a season-long loan move to Belgian club Lommel SK from Italian side Palermo, with the highly-rated attacker set to spend the 2026/27 campaign in the Challenger Pro League.
The 22-year-old remains under contract with Palermo until 2029, with the Italian club viewing the move as another important step in his development after gaining valuable first-team experience in France last season.
Appuah spent the 2025/26 season on loan at Valenciennes, where he featured regularly in the French third tier, making over 30 appearances, while contributing with goals and assists as he continued to establish himself as one of the club’s key attacking outlets.
A product of FC Nantes’ renowned academy, the left-footed winger joined Palermo in 2024 and is capable of playing on either flank, although he is most effective cutting inside from the left. He is admired for his pace, close control, creativity and ability to beat defenders in one-on-one situations.
Lommel SK will be hoping Appuah’s attacking quality and experience in both French and Italian football can strengthen their squad as they target a successful campaign in Belgium.
The loan agreement does not include a permanent transfer, with Appuah expected to return to Palermo at the end of the season to continue his long-term project with the Serie B club.
