Spanish-Ghanaian striker Ahmed Bentil has completed a move to German Oberliga Westfalen club DJK TuS Hordel ahead of the 2026/27 season.
The 23-year-old forward joins the fifth-tier German outfit after a spell with Spanish lower-division side CF Villena, where he continued his development and gained valuable experience in Spanish football.
Bentil’s transfer was made possible through the long-standing relationship between officials of both clubs, paving the way for the promising attacker to begin a new chapter in Germany.
Confirming the signing, DJK TuS Hordel wrote on their official website:
“Welcome, Ahmed Bentil! The 23-year-old striker is joining us from Spain at Hordeler Heide. Ahmed was most recently under contract with CF Villena in Alicante and will now bring his qualities to our attack.”
The club also highlighted the collaboration behind the transfer.
“The transfer was made possible thanks to the long-standing friendship between Gwendell van Riemsdijk, a manager at CF Villena, and our manager, Jörg Versen. A great example of how valuable networks connect football.”
Bentil is a versatile forward capable of playing across the frontline and is known for his pace, movement and finishing ability. Having developed in Spain, he now takes the next step in his career as he looks to make an impact in German football.
TuS Hordel are expected to rely on the Spanish-Ghanaian attacker to strengthen their attack as they push for promotion to Germany’s Regionalliga, the country’s fourth tier.
