Swedish-born Ghanaian teenager Sion Oppong cameoed in Toulouse’s 2-0 home reverse against Olympique Lyon in the French Ligue 1 on Saturday.
Oppong, 18, took the place of French forward Yann Gboho on the 80th minute mark with the game almost lost.
He wore the number 11 jersey for Toulouse in the game.
The clash at the Stade de Toulouse marks the official debut in the French top-tier league for the teenager who was born in the Swedish capital city of Stockholm to Ghanaian parents.
Oppong joined Toulouse before the start of the 2026/27 season from Swedish side Brommapojkarna.
Danish international of Ghanaian descent Noah Nartey opened the scoring for Lyon on the 68th minute before Malick Fofana sealed the win for the visitors.
Black Stars winger Ernest Nuamah warmed the bench for the victors in the game.
Oppong is a Swedish U21 international however he still remains eligible to represent Ghana as he is yet to turn a full international for the European side.
