Asante Kotoko have officially announced the signing of Congolese centre-back Aristote Ntangu Tamuzi on a two-year contract, further strengthening their squad ahead of the 2026/27 season.
The 27-year-old completed his move to the Porcupine Warriors before the transfer deadline after successfully agreeing personal terms with the Kumasi-based club.
Ntangu joins Kotoko with a wealth of experience, having featured for JS Tshangu and AS New Soger in the Democratic Republic of Congo before continuing his career in Eswatini, where he played for Mbabane Highlanders, Vovovo FC, and Mbabane Swallows.
Known for his physical presence, aerial strength, composure and defensive discipline, the experienced centre-back is expected to provide added solidity and competition in Kotoko’s defence as the club prepares for a busy campaign.
Ntangu is scheduled to join his new teammates in training on Tuesday, August 25, as head coach Eric Tinkler begins integrating him into the squad.
His arrival is the latest addition to Kotoko’s busy recruitment drive as the Porcupine Warriors continue to reinforce key areas of the team in their quest to challenge for domestic honours and make a strong impact in the upcoming season.
