Ghanaian forward Ernest Poku is on the verge of completing a move to Turkish giants Beşiktaş after the club reportedly reached an agreement with Bayer Leverkusen over a loan deal for the 22-year-old.
Poku, who is capable of operating as a right winger, left winger or centre-forward, is set to join the Istanbul-based club as he looks to take another important step in his developing career.
The agreement reportedly includes a €3 million loan fee, while Beşiktaş will have a €20 million purchase clause, which could reportedly become an obligation to buy if certain conditions included in the agreement are met.
The Ghanaian attacker is expected to travel to Istanbul to undergo his medical examination, with the final paperwork expected to be completed afterwards.
A move to Beşiktaş would give Poku the opportunity to compete in Turkish football and further develop his experience at a major European club, while also potentially providing him with a bigger platform to showcase his attacking qualities.
