Ghanaian-eligible goalkeeper Benjamin Asare has taken another important step in his football career after making his senior debut for FC Roskilde in Denmark’s second division.
The 21-year-old Danish-born goalkeeper of Ghanaian descent was called into action as early as the second minute after Roskilde’s starting goalkeeper was forced off through injury.
Despite being thrown into the game almost immediately, Asare settled into the match and remained between the posts for the rest of the encounter.
The youngster completed 88 minutes of action and conceded just once as FC Roskilde held Fremad Amager to a 1-1 draw.
Asare’s introduction presented him with a significant opportunity to make his mark at senior level, and he responded by seeing out the remainder of the match.
His debut marks an important milestone in his development as he begins to gain experience in competitive senior football in Denmark.
