Ghanaian midfielder Lawrence Agyekum has begun training with Turkish side Erzurumspor FK as he settles into his new surroundings following his recent loan move from Cercle Brugge.
The 22-year-old midfielder joined Erzurumspor on a season-long loan and is now working with his new teammates as he prepares for the next phase of his career in Turkey.
Agyekum made the move after establishing himself in Belgian football with Cercle Brugge. He initially joined the club on loan before the Belgian side made his transfer permanent, giving him valuable experience at senior level.
His switch to Erzurumspor represents another important step in his development, with the midfielder now looking to adapt quickly to Turkish football and compete for regular playing time.
The Ghana international will be hoping to make a strong impression during his time in Turkey, while continuing to build on the experience he gained in Belgium and earlier in Austria with Red Bull Salzburg and FC Liefering.
For Agyekum, the immediate priority is settling into Erzurumspor’s system, building chemistry with his new teammates and getting himself ready for competitive action.
