FC Samartex head coach Nana Kwaku Agyemang has revealed his ambition to guide the Timber Giants to Ghana Premier League success in his first season in charge of the club.
Agyemang believes the strong support from Samartex’s management and supporters has created the perfect environment for him to pursue the ultimate prize.
The coach says the confidence shown in him by the club’s leadership has motivated him to deliver success and reward the faith placed in him.
“FC Samartex management and the fans have shown me tremendous support and are doing everything possible to help me succeed at the club,” Agyemang said in an interview with Shaban Mohammed.
The former coach is determined to repay that backing by helping the club compete for the league title and experience the achievement of lifting the trophy.
“I would love to win the Ghana Premier League with FC Samartex in my first season at the club. I want to experience the feeling of lifting the trophy,” he added.
Samartex have made an impressive start to the 2026/27 Ghana Premier League campaign, collecting seven points from their opening three matches.
The Timber Giants recorded important victories, including a crucial 1-0 away win over Aduana FC, before sharing the spoils with Asante Kotoko in their latest fixture.
In the encounter at the weekend, former Samartex player Emmanuel Mamah gave Kotoko the lead in the 76th minute, but Christian Agyenim Boateng responded five minutes later to secure a 1-1 draw for the Porcupine Warriors.
Having already shown early promise, Agyemang will now focus on maintaining Samartex’s momentum as he attempts to lead the 2024 Ghana Premier League champions to another historic title triumph.
