Karela United head coach Nurudeen Amadu says his team’s victory over Hearts of Oak has provided a major boost ahead of their next Ghana Premier League fixture against Asante Kotoko.
Karela United secured a 1-0 win over Hearts of Oak on Saturday, earning three important points and ending the Phobians’ unbeaten start to the 2026/27 league campaign.
Amadu described the match as one of the most difficult games his team has played since the beginning of the season.
“It was very difficult. I think it was one of the toughest games we have played. Hearts of Oak were very tactical, and we were also very tactical,” Amadu said.
The Karela United coach credited his tactical adjustments during the match, particularly a substitution which he believes helped his team secure the victory.
“The substitution I made helped me. This is delightful because we are going away to play Kotoko, so this win will be very helpful,” he added.
The result has given Karela United valuable confidence as they prepare for their meeting with the Porcupine Warriors.
Amadu will now hope his players can carry the same determination and discipline into the Kotoko clash as they look to secure another positive result in the Ghana Premier League.
The upcoming fixture will present another difficult test for Karela United, but their victory over Hearts of Oak has given the team renewed belief ahead of the encounter.
