Carlos Queiroz says strong communication, trust and commitment between the Ghana Football Association and the Black Stars players will be essential to building a competitive national team.
“We have to have the core of the team prepared, ready to come with clarity, honesty, right communication between the federation and the players,” Queiroz said.
The Portuguese coach stressed the importance of creating a clear understanding between the football authorities and the players, particularly on issues relating to commitment, expectations and communication.
He believes that when players and the federation maintain honest and direct communication, the team can operate with greater unity and focus.
Queiroz’s comments underline his desire to establish a strong foundation around the Black Stars as Ghana continues its preparations for the upcoming qualifying assignments.
For the coach, developing the right team culture goes beyond tactics and results, with trust and mutual understanding also playing an important role in ensuring that players remain committed to the national team.
He wants the core group of players to be properly prepared and fully aware of what is expected of them whenever they report for international duty.
The comments also highlight the need for the GFA and the playing body to maintain an effective relationship as the Black Stars pursue success in their qualifying campaign and broader international ambitions.
