Founder of King Faisal FC, Alhaji Abdul Karim Gruzah, has called for sweeping changes in Ghana football following the Black Stars’ recent disappointing performances.
The outspoken football administrator believes both the national team squad and the current Ghana Football Association (GFA) leadership require major restructuring to restore the country’s football fortunes.
Speaking in an interview with Onua FM, Gruzah criticised the current state of the Black Stars and called for a complete overhaul of the system.
“The players should leave the team, and the GFA should be dissolved, especially under the current GFA president,” he said.
His comments come after growing criticism of the Black Stars following their poor results in the 2027 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers, with many stakeholders questioning the direction of the national team.
Gruzah, who has been a long-time figure in Ghana football administration, believes bold decisions are needed to rebuild confidence and bring success back to the Black Stars.
