Aduana FC Chief Executive Officer Atta Poku has declared his opposition to any attempt by Ghana Football Association (GFA) President Kurt Okraku to seek a third term in office.
According to the Aduana CEO, every leadership tenure must eventually come to an end, and he believes Okraku should complete his current mandate before stepping aside.
Atta Poku explained that his position on the matter has already been made clear and insisted that the GFA president should publicly rule out any plans to extend his stay beyond his current term.
“Everything that has a beginning has an end. My position on this regime is documented, that’s why I am personally against his third term.”
“He should finish serving his term and come out clear and tell Ghanaians he will not continue. The tongue does not rot,” he said in an interview with Obaapa FM in Kumasi.
The comments come amid ongoing discussions within Ghana football circles about the future leadership of the GFA, with debates continuing over governance, reforms and the direction of the sport under Okraku’s administration.
