Port City head coach Christopher Ennin says his team is ready to give everything when they face Hearts of Oak in the Ghana Premier League this weekend.
The Kukurantumi-based side will travel to Accra for the Matchday Six encounter against the Phobians, hoping to continue their impressive start to life in the top flight.
Ennin has set his sights on securing a positive result against Hearts of Oak after guiding Port City to an emphatic victory over Bechem United in their previous league game.
The coach says his players will approach the match with the same determination they have shown in their away games.
“We are going all out against Hearts of Oak. We are going to compete. Like I always say, people have started pointing fingers at Port City, but we are saying that we are going to compete. We are going to play the way we play our away games. We are in for it,” he told the club’s media.
Port City returned to winning ways on Sunday with a 3-1 victory over Bechem United at the Daasebre Boamah Darko II Park.
Captain Hamza Zakari opened the scoring for Port City before Owusu Ansah produced a strong performance by scoring twice to secure all three points for the home side.
The victory came after Port City had suffered a midweek defeat to defending champions Medeama SC.
The result has taken the Premier League newcomers to third position on the table after five matches, with 10 points.
Ennin and his players will now face another major test against Hearts of Oak as they look to maintain their strong beginning to the 2026/27 Ghana Premier League campaign.
