Ghanaian midfielder William Bediako has joined Atlético Madrid after leaving Ghana Premier League side Berekum Chelsea for the Spanish club’s U19 team.
The 18-year-old, who also featured for Spanish lower-tier side Trival Valderas Alcorcón, is expected to link up with his new teammates immediately ahead of Tuesday’s UEFA Youth League fixture against Stuttgart.
Berekum Chelsea confirmed the transfer in an official statement:
“We are excited to announce that our attacking midfielder, William Bediako, has signed for Atlético de Madrid. Everyone at the club wishes William Bediako all the very best.”
