Dreams FC will be aiming to build on the momentum of their maiden victory of the 2026/27 Ghana Premier League season when they host fellow strugglers Debibi United FC at the Tuba AstroTurf on Matchday 10.
The “Still Believe” lads finally ended an eight-match winless run last weekend with a hard-fought 1-0 victory over Basake Holy Stars, a result that breathed new life into their campaign. Despite the win, Dreams remain 15th on the league table with six points and are still searching for their first home victory of the season.
Head coach Winfred Dormon will be hoping his side can build on their recent success, but defensive frailties remain a concern. Dreams have conceded 14 goals in nine league matches, one of the highest totals in the division, and will need to tighten up at the back if they are to climb out of the relegation zone.
Debibi United travel to Accra full of confidence after producing one of the biggest surprises of the season by defeating Hearts of Oak 1-0 last weekend. The historic victory provided a major boost to the newly promoted side’s survival hopes and lifted them to 16th place with 10 points, just two points behind safety.
While the newcomers have shown resilience at home, their away form remains a significant weakness. Debibi United have lost all four of their league matches on the road this season, scoring only once while conceding nine goals.
The visitors will, however, be encouraged by the confidence gained from their famous victory over Hearts of Oak as they seek to end their poor away record and move further away from the relegation places.
With both clubs desperate for valuable points in their fight to avoid the drop, Sunday’s encounter promises to be a fiercely contested battle, with Dreams FC chasing consecutive victories and Debibi United eager to prove their upset over Hearts was no fluke.
