Ghana forward Kevin-Prince Boateng has disclosed that he was taken apart when he first heard of his move to Barcelona.
The 31-year-old joined the Catalan giants from Sassuolo on-loan with the option to purchase permanently at the end of the season.
Boateng revealed, “When did my agent call me and tell me I was going to Barça? It was madness! I could not sleep at night when I knew I had the opportunity to join FC Barcelona.
“Saturday just before we had an important match with Sassuolo against Inter. Between the pressure of this match, the opportunity to join Barça … and at the end of the day my agent came and told me we were going to Barcelona. I thought it could not be a joke!”
He played 63 minutes on his debut last Wednesday in their 2-0 defeat against Sevilla but warmed the bench as they beat Girona 2-0 on Sunday
