Ghanaian forward Kwame Thomas was on target twice for Wrexham AFC as they thrashed Cefn Druidsa AFC 4-1 in a pre-season friendly on Tuesday at The Racecourse.
The game was played behind closed doors because of the coronavirus pandemic and the Reds, who discovered earlier in the day that they will host Boreham Wood on the opening day of the National League campaign on October 3, dominated the first half.
There were no clear cut chances for either side in the second period before Wrexham grabbed a fourth goal in the closing minutes of the game.
Thomas, 24, formerly of Nottingham who was born in England to Ghanaian parents, joined the English National League club on a free transfer in the summer transfer window after parting ways with Burton Albion in June.
He signed a one-year deal with the club.
Thomas, who has represented England at U-16, U-17 and U-20 level, aims to revive his career at Wrexham as he’s eligible to represent Ghana at the seniors national level.
