English born Ghanaian attacker Antoine Semenyo was one of the brightest players on the pitch on Saturday afternoon despite his side’s 3-1 defeat to high flying Reading.
The 20-year-old forward who was making his fourteenth league appearance for City this season was a torn in the flesh of the Reading defenders as the likes of Omar Richards, Liam Moore and Thomas Holmes found it difficult to contain him.
His link up play with with substitute Chris Martin was excellent and he occasionally drifted wide to get balls and send in crosses.
Semenyo last season played for Sunderland on loan and was one of their outstanding players before being called up by his parents club.
He has managed four assists this season and has been among his club’s top players so far in the campaign.
Born in London to Ghanaian parents, Semenyo is yet to be capped by England or Ghana at any level.
