Kumasi-based King Faisal FC boosted their quest to survive in the 2020-21 Ghana Premier League season with a crucial win over Legon Cities FC at home on Monday afternoon.
The Green and Whites lads beat the Royals 2-0 at the Ohene Ameyaw Park in Techiman in their week 31 clash.
The game started without any firepower from both sides and remained a boring game for the most part of the opening quarter of the match.

After the 20th minute mark, Faisal pushed forward and got a reward for their bravery when Zuberu Ibrahim set up Kwadwo Frimpong to score the first goal of the match after 22 minutes.
The visitors did not enjoy much at the middle third of the field and failed the cause problems for the defense of the hosts throughout the first half.
King Faisal talisman, Kwame Peprah got his name on the score sheet for home team on the 56th minute to make it 2-0 as he took his tally to 12 goals this campaign.
The home team got a lot of good openings after taking a two-goal lead but were unable to make it count on most occasions.
The visitors’ goalie, Sylvester Sackey was called into action several times and was up to the task as he saved his team on countless occasions in the second half.
King Faisal’s win takes them to 14th on the league table after 31 games with three matches left to play and will travel to Len Clay Stadium in Obuasi to face Asante Kotoko SC this weekend.
Legon Cities FC will host Bechem United in Accra this weekend and could save from relegation if they beat the Hunters.
