Asumah Abubakar-Ankrah dazzled in the Switzerland Super League on Wednesday evening when his team FC Lugano defeated FC St Gallen at home.
The 23-year-old Ghanaian forward played 64 minutes and helped his team to secure a vital 2-0 home win over the Green and Whites.
Two minutes into the game, Abubakar-Ankrah provided a deft touch and set up Numa Lavanchy to score the game’s opening goal from the center of the box to give the hosts an early lead.
The Ghanaian was subbed off in the second half after 64 minutes before Joaquin Ardaiz got the second goal to seal a 2-0 win on the 72nd minute of the match.
Abubakar-Ankrah has two goals and two assists in 17 games for the Black and Whites who are third on the league table.
