Accra Hearts of oak engage Bechem United in their quest to earn a double over the Hunters in week 24 of the Ghana Premier League.
The Phobians obliterated the Brong Ahafo based club in the first round of the league with a very impressive display. The 6 – 1 defeat was the heaviest win for the Accra based club in recent times with goals for Umar Manaf, Ansah Botchwey, Benjamin Afutu, lawal Souleymane and a brace from Victor Aidoo.
In contrast to fortunes of both clubs, Bechem United come into the game after a home defeat to Karela FC in what could easily be described as an abysmal performance for Kasim Ocansey’s boys. The Hunters have won two games in 6 games including an emphatic defeat to Ashanti Gold and Kumasi Asante kotoko conceding a total of 8 goals in those two matches.
Accra Hearts of Oak come into the game with confidence after dispatching King Faisal at the Accra Sports Stadium. Daniel Barnieh and Salifu will be hoping to replicate the fine form they exhibited last Sunday. The Phobians welcome back Manaf Gumar to the squad to boost their chances.
Bechem United currently lie 7th of the league log just 4 point behind former champions Accra Hearts of Oak who are on 37 points in the 4th position.
Marksmen for Bechem United Hafiz Konkoni and Moro Salifu will be hoping to add to their tally of 8 and 7 goals respectively. The defensive set-up of the Hunters will have to be wary of Daniel Barnieh, Victor Aidoo and Kwame Obeng Junior if they are to avoid another defeat at their back ward.
