Ghanaian Division One League outfit Accra Lions FC, have confirmed the transfer of its players Rahim Ibrahim and Joseph Amoah to Slovakian top-flight side AS Trencin.
”Accra Lions Football Club can officially confirm the transfer of midfielder Rahim Ibrahim and winger Joseph Amoah to Slovakian top-flight club AS Trencin,” the club announced on Monday afternoon.
The statement further added that ”Both players were instrumental in our last Division One League campaign. We wish Rahim and Joseph all the best of luck in this new stage of their career.”
“We continue to oxygenate our team, so to speak. The arrival of a pair of talented and motivated players is supposed to help,” the general manager of the club, Róbert Rybníček on the other hand expressed.
The 19-year-old duo becomes the 2nd and 3rd players to join Trencin from Lions after Ghana U23 ace Osman Bukari.
Bukari has since joined Belgian top-flight side KAA Gent after an excellent campaign last season in the Slovakian top division.
“They came from the same environment as Bukari. We believe that his performance and path will follow. Osman is doing great advertising for us in Belgium today, and maybe in time it will be in an even higher-ranked league competition.”
The Black Stars prospect netted 11 goals and provided 15 assists in 30 games in all competitions for Trencin.
