The National Sports Authority is calling on President Nana Akufo Addo to help in the settlement of debts owed some travel and tour agencies in the country.
The NSA has been sued by a number of its debtors resulting in the confiscation of one of its buses. The spokesperson of the NSA, Frederica Mensah Davies fears the Accra Sports Stadium might soon be closed down if government does not intervene.
“Debtors from various traveling agencies have been hanging on us since 2012 and unfortunately we have not been able to settle them and unfortunately most of them have decided to take us to court and as I speak our accounts has been frozen. Two days ago court order came and one of our buses has been taken away”. She told Starr FM
” I will plead with the new sports minister to also plead with the President to come to our aid otherwise I can foresee in the next few days or weeks that the stadium might even be closed down.” She added
