Things are going on well in Turkey for Ghana international midfielder Afriyie Acquah who plays for Super Lig side Yeni Malatyaspor.
The 28-year old – who started and finished the 2015 AFCON final against Ivory Coast – scored his first goal of the season in the Turkish Cup on Thursday as Yeni Malatyaspor won 2-0 over Hopaspor as the Ghanaian opened the scoring in the 66th minute before Topalli scored the second in the 79th minute.
Acquah – who appeared in 194 Italy Serie A Matches for Palermo, Parma, Sampdoria and Empoli- has started each of the six league games his side has contested this season establishing himself as one of the most important players for the club.
The former Palermo anchorman appeared in 30 matches last season for Yeni scoring thrice and making an assist and this season – on a personal level – Acquah has started well.
The hardworking midfielder has 36 caps for Ghana who is making a strong case to be back to the national team.
