Aduana Stars 3-3 Raja Casablanca, Nathaniel Asamoah’s late strike snatches point for ‘Ogya’ Lads

Ghana Champions Aduana Stars were shocking held to a 3-3 stalemate by Moroccan giants Raja Casablanca in the ongoing Caf Confederation Cup group stage competition.

The Dormaa based club who lost their group opener 1-0 to Ivorian champions Asec Mimosa failed to record victory in the must win game.

Mahmoud Benhalib, shot the visitors in front in the 11 minute before Oba Ikama drew Aduana Stars level in the 24th minute.

The Ogya Lads kept pressuring the Moroccan giants defense in their quest to record their first victory in the group stage competition but failed to utilize the fine chances they created.

Mabidi Lema with a brilliant effort deepened Aduana Stars woes when he struck on the 38th minute to give Raja Casablanca a 2-1 lead before recess at the fully packed Agyemang Badu II Park.

Back from recess, defender Caleb Amakwah headed home a fine cross to restore parity for the Ghanaian champions.

The Algerian side who looked for purposeful in the second half saw their effort rewarded when Benhalib Mahmoud registered his second goal in the crunchy fixture to give the away team a 3-2 lead but thanks to striker Nathanie Asamoah who got Yusif Abubakur and his charges the leveller on extra time.

Congolese side AS Vita Club currently leads group A with four points, followed by Asec Mimosa with three points and Raja Casablanca with two points.

Aduna Stars however, sit bottom of the log with just a point after match day two.
