Aduana Stars Trainer, Yusif Abubakar is confident of clinching this season’s Ghana Premier League (GPL) after painfully losing last season’s title to eventual champions Wa All Stars.
The Dormaa based Club suffered their first defeat of the season, losing 2-1 against Ebusua Dwarfs at the New Cape Coast Stadium last Saturday.
However, that defeat did not affect their position on the summit of the log as second placed Asante Kotoko also lost away at Hearts of Oak a day after.
And speaking on his team’s chances of lifting a second domestic league title, Yusif Abubakar says that is their target for this season.
“Yes I think we have a good chance of winning the title, that is actually our target this season’’, he said, adding that, “We actually want to win the League title this season. But we just have to take match after match.”
Aduana Stars won the league in their debut campaign in the 2009/2010 season but have since failed to repeat that feat.
